Liverpool holds talks with Aston Villa winger’s representatives
Liverpool are interested in Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene, according to Anfield Watch, and talks have already taken place between the club and the player’s representatives.
The 21-year-old is said to be ‘liked’ by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, but the Reds will face competition from Newcastle, who are also said to be interested in the player.
It is also unclear whether Unai Emery would be willing to let him go given that he has started all of their pre-season friendlies so far and even scored against Fulham. This suggests that the manager may have him in mind for the upcoming season.
Given the club’s already stacked attacking options, including Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo, some Liverpool fans may not see the potential signing as a priority.
